The Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Zenith Bank plc to show cause why an Order Exparte to defreeze Governor Ayodele Fayose's accounts, filed yesterday to the court by the governor's legal team, should not be granted. The judge gave Monday July 4 for the anti-graft agency and Zenith bank Plc to appear in court with the said evidence.

UFC fighter Ryan Jimmo tragically killed in hit and run car attack in native Canada
Canadian mixed martial artist, and seven-fight UFC veteran, Ryan Jimmo has died due to injuries sustained from a hit-and-run incident in a nightclub parking lot in Canada in the early morning hours of June 26.
Jimmo was involved in an altercation at around 2:15 a.m., in the parking lot of the H2O Lounge in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As Jimmo walked away from the vehicle driven by the “suspects,” the driver of an ‘older-model, extended-cab pickup truck,’ accelerated, striking Jimmo.

Federal High Court orders Abia state governor to immediately vacate office
Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, to vacate his office immediately, after finding him guilty of submitting fake tax clearance document to the PDP during the party's governorship primary in December 2014.
Ikpeazu's rival at the primary, Uche Ogah, had petitioned the court and provided evidence to show that Ikpeazu had indeed provided fake tax clearance to their party. After listening to the counsels of both politicians, the presiding judge ordered INEC to immediately issue a certificate of return to Ogah.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission seized 29 properties from three retired Air Force Chiefs ( Air Marshal Adesola Amosu, Air Vice Marshal Jacob Adigun and Air Commodore Olugbenga Gbadebo) who will be arraigned for stealing this week.
According to Punch, the siezed properties included three plazas, six mansions, a quarry, a hospital, a block of flats, animal farms, a school, two hotels, some uncompleted buildings and some parcels of land.
They are accused of stealing public funds to the tune of N21,467,674,707.43 in 2014. My goodness!!

Photos: Over 1700 African migrants, including babies rescued in the Mediterranean in one day
MSF Sea and the Italian Navy have rescued about 1700 African migrants,
including small children and babies from dozens of small boats in the
Mediterranean during the course of Thursday, June 23. Many of the
unseaworthy rubber boats were spotted about 40km from the coast. The
rescue ships are currently heading to Italy with the migrants.
