An Ekiti state based socio-economic development organisation, The Pacers, has commended President Mohammadu Buhari for the newly constituted board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) where he appointed Olajide Adesoye, a former Treasurer of Mobil Producing Nigeria as its chairman.
According to him, considering Olajide Adesoye’s track records of
integrity, uprightness and honesty, the appointment comes at the right time in giving more credence to the Federal Government’s efforts to salvage the current economic situation.
“Without mincing words, this appointment is a pointer to President Buhari’s determination and unrelenting efforts in taking Nigeria out of the current economic doldrums. We must really commend the President for his resolution to always put the right men on board at every occasion. We believe that Olajide Adesoye’s appointment came on the premise of his track record of hard work, sincerity of purpose and unwavering commitment to national development. As a gold fish that has no hidden place, his wealth of experience, enviable credentials and sterling qualities have fished him out to serve the nation at this critical period of nationhood.” He said.
In its congratulatory message to the new NPA Board Chairman, the group acknowledged the need to put every sensitive government agency in a right order at this particular time, hence the appointment of someone of Adesoye’s calibre.
“In the face of the current economic challenges, sensitive agencies like the NPA must not be toyed with; therefore it must be in credible hands. To give the nation the kind of change it really deserves and to convince the general populace about the anti-corruption crusade the current administration is championing, we really need people of Adesoye’s personalities to hold specific sensitive positions”. He further said.

The group is committed to laying indelible legacies that will aid in building a virile nation powered by community based projects to grossly reduced poverty in the society.
